And so our quest for an urgent foster appeal begins again .. yet another pooch having to undergo urgent surgery to repair damage to a leg ..

Meet Frankie – he is 10 months old – a small lab x boy – he is super-friendly and was a stray from Drogheda, who was saved from the Pound by DDR at the beginning of April.

He had come in with an injury that the vet was hoping he might adjust to and heal itself, but it is not going to happen, and so he needs major surgery to have a pin or pins put in his back leg to give him a quality life.  You can see by the photos that  he is carrying his leg.

Despite this, he is good with other dogs and great with people and HE NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We have him scheduled in for surgery this week – so we are pleading once again for a foster home to come forward .. he will be requiring crate rest for 6 weeks and very limited exercise .. all support will be given as  required and veterinary instruction for post-op aftercare .. really this little dude just needs a safe place, company and TLC … and we know there is a foster home out there to provide that to him .. we succeeded recently with Sasha, so we are hoping to manage the same for Frankie ..

And on top of that, we are pleading for help to cover the veterinary bill .. this is a huge outlay on our already swamped vet bill … so all donations will be greatly appreciated …

If you can help at all in any way – please get in touch by email to rehoming@dundalkdogrescue.ie and put Frankie  in the subject line. Thanks in advance xxx
