Dogs in our care – Weekly (P)update

Posted on Posted in Our Dogs

Hi everyone

Sorry for the delay in posting – we’ve had quite a busy week behind the scenes.
We have 62 dogs under our care this week. 21 of these are at our kennels, the remainder are being looked after by our various foster families – thank you so much guys
And we also have some dogs on trial homing – so we hope to share some happy paws news real soon .. (Yuppi!)
We are coming up to our busiest and toughest time of year .. kennels are no place for dogs – they belong with families who will love and cherish them and who will ensure they get plenty of walks and play time – that’s the dream we envisage for our dogs and which is why we are constantly appealing for foster homes. If you’d like to help, please get in touch for more details – rehoming@dundalkdogrescue.ie
We also rely heavily on your financial support to ensure we can continue to help these dogs – we have kennel bills, veterinary bills, transport costs, etc. We couldn’t save those lives without you!
Meet some of our current pooches, some of whom will be leaving our care this week – this is thanks to our colleagues in Heathlands Animal Sanctuary who have provided them a life-line .. but sadly for each dog that moves out, they will be replaced by another .. mega thanks to the admin team behind the scenes at DDR who work tirelessly to arrange all the paperwork and travel documents for each of these dogs. We truly are blessed with amazing volunteers xxx
