Dexter – Foster Home Urgently Required – Post Op Crate Rest

Posted on Posted in Our Dogs

Dexter has been in our care since 16th June 2017 after finding himself surrendered to the Louth County Pound. He has finally been offered a forever home .. but as luck would have it, a possible injury was noticed on his hind leg.

Dexter was taken to the vets on Saturday morning for an assessment of the back legs, and our suspicions were confirmed that he would need surgery to repair a patella issue. This surgery involves crate-rest recovery of 6 weeks .. so we are appealing for a foster home for Dexter where he will receive the post-op care he will require to ensure this operation will be a success.

This is the second time in the past 6 months that we have had to put a dog through a procedure like this .. most recently Sasha the Husky .. and her foster home did a tremendous job caring for Sasha – who is now thankfully back on all 4 paws !!!

So again we are appealing for a foster home .. We will provide all the food, help and support needed along the way … Dexter is only just over a year old and so deserves this second chance at happiness ..  please share this appeal so that we can get a foster home secured and prepared for when he has surgery, which is going to be booked within the next few days ….

Here’s some pictures of Dexter taken on Saturday after his trip to the vets .. he was the perfect patient and on his best behaviour .. he is a super-friendly boy and super-gorgeous … lets make his dream come true xxx

Please please please get in touch if you can help in any way xxx

And of course donations towards this surgery will be gratefully accepted and appreciated xxx
