Cole – in foster

Posted on Posted in Our Dogs

Have you ever seen a smile more beautiful than this?!

This amazing boy Cole was a stray to the Louth County Pound in April and was taken into the care of DDR. However, he was completely shut down at kennels and we felt a foster home was vital to try and rebuild his trust and exercise as he simply would not allow a lead near him for a walk!
He initially went to foster with Emma, but no major progress at all and we felt a home with another dog could help him. So we were delighted when Laura agreed to take him into her care.
After months of patient work with him and most of all lots and lots of love Cole opened up and gave us the most wonderful smile you can get.

Our heart here at DDR break a little with every dog that comes into our care but to see what they become with all the care and love they receive with our amazing and brave foster team and volunteers and the bright future that awaits them makes it all right.

Cole would be happiest in a home with another dog to keep him company and a patient owner, who would understand his needs and give him all the love and care in the world.

If you happen to fall in love just like we did and would like to offer him a forever (and ever) home please contact at  rehoming@dundalkdogrescue.ie

Your reward will be to see this smile everyday! 🙂
